You’re staring in disbelief into an impenetrable darkness that surrounded you when you least expected it. Your world as you know it has shattered, and you realize that there’s no going back to your comfortable past. You find yourself lost, trembling, unsure of the way forward or if you even have the strength to pick your head up and look to see where you are. You find yourself alone in your own head, thoughts swirling around so fast they’re making you dizzy.
As human beings we will all feel this way at some point. We will all face inevitable change. It may come as a sudden unexpected blow or as a slowly advancing unyielding shadow. What do you do when confronted with such an overpowering force? What do you do when you find yourself alone, faced with so much pain?
I found myself in this situation, not knowing where to turn. This 9 minute meditation by Sarah Blondin brought me out of the darkness and into the light. For weeks I listened to it almost daily and continue to do so. It is one of the most transformative and healing works of art that I have ever encountered. It helped me acknowledge my fears and sorrows but gave me hope and sparked curiosity for my future.
I cannot recommend this meditation enough. If you have 9 minutes to spare then please listen, as it may change your life as it did mine.
