We all know that exercise is important. People who exercise regularly have longer lifespans, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, lower rates of obesity, etc. But did you know that it also improves brain function? That it improves mood? That it makes you sexy? Increases the size of your hippocampus (and we all want a bigger hippocampus, don't we?)
The main question is, how can you fit it in to your busy medical schedule? What's "enough" exercise? Should you be doing cardio? Yoga? Weight training? Pilates? High intensity interval training? And how do you fit it all in?
